FACT NOT FABLE
Very likely mauy motorists have been 'told that if a lighted match is dropped into a can of petrol the match will be extinguished just as if it were thrown into water. A. workman at a benzine factory near Berlin thought he would give a demonstration to prove his theory. Asking his colleagues to watch this experiment he lit a match and dropped it into a 40-gallon tank of benzine. Sequel: There is no benzine factory there now, and the experimenter and other workmen are in hospital. Moral: Don’t be a fool.
