IGNORED CHALLENGE AND WAS SHOT DEAD
INTRUDER IN SHOP. United Press Association —By Electrifl Telegraph—Copyright. Received "Wednesday 8.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 9. At Leitchville,, near Bendigo, this morning, a resident met an unknown man in his shop. He secured assistance and went back and called the man, who was leaving the shop without his boots. The man ignored the challenge and was shot dead by the resident’s companion with a shotgun, and his swag was found a little way off.
