COURT MANAWATU

The fortnightly meeting of Court Manawatu A.O.F. No. 5655 was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Main Street, on Monday night. The C.R. Bro. C. K. Lune presided over a good attendance of members, including the Sisters from Court Hinemoa, and visiting brethren from other Courts in the district. The installation-of officers took plaee, P. C. Rs. Bros. Hunt and Dryden being the installing officers. At the conclusion of the meeting the usual installation social was held. The toast list was as follows: “Tho King,” proposed by the chairman, Bro. Dennan; ‘.‘Wellington District,” proposed by P.C.R. Bro. Dryden, responded to by P.C.R. Bro. J. F. Follas; “Newly Installed Officers,” proposed by P.C.R. Bro. Hunt, and responded to by the officers; proposed by P.C.R. Bro. Rosanoski, and responded to by P.C.R. Sister M. Rosanoski,, P.C.R. Bro. Dryden, P.C.R. Bro. Edwards, Bro. Barnett and Bro. Payne; “Retiring Officers,” proposed by P.C. R. Bro. Holgerson, and responded to by P.C.R. Bro. C. K. Lane; “Absent < Members,” proposed by Bro. Madden; “The Press,” proposed by P.C.R. Bro. Dryden and responded to by P.C.R. Bro. Holgerson. Songs were rendered by P.C.R. Bro. M. Rosanoski and Bradley, and humorour items were given by P.C.R. Bros. J. F. Follis and Dryden. Tho accompaniments were played by the Court orchestra.
