GIFTS FOR MAIDS
PRINCESS ’ S TRIBUTE. Fifteen maid-servants were recently greeted by Princess Marie Louise at Dudley Mouse, Park Lane, London, and given presents for efficient work. They are girls who were placed, in situations by Friends of the Poor, an organisation that keeps in touch with them by letter and personal call. The girls who had stayed in service for seven years each received a handsome dressing case. Those with three years’ service got an attache case, and wrist watches were given to those who had remained in situations for 12 months.
