T»ENE LACOSTE, famous tennis x* player, has decided to retire from the game. The retirement is due to business and not, as hinted in France*, to annoyance because the French
committee ranked him second to Cochet. • • Lacoste told a friend of his intention to retire before he competed at Wimbledon. The fact that he did not defend his title in America, although he was on a business tour there, confirmed his statement.
