Thread made from the spider’s tveb is lighter and stronger than that which conies from the silkworm. In France there is a factory devoted to the manufacture of spider thread. Tho spiders are arranged in dozens before a reel, which withdaws the delicate threads, each spicier yielding from twenty ro forty yards.
