ANCIENT ATHENS A MODERN CITY
RECONSTRUCTION PLAN. PALATIAL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUILDINGS. Times Cable. Received Friday, 7.35 p.m. ATHENS, Jan. 4. A committee of experts, under the chairmanship of M. Vcnizelos, considered a plan to modernise the city, while preserving its historic features. It was decided to erect palatial buildings, including law courts, ministerial offices, educational establishments and flats, in tho centre of the city, for which funds will be provided by tho sale of some Government land in tho most expensive streets.
