SORDID TRAGEDY AT LAUNCESTON
WOMAN MURDERED. United Press Association —By Electril Telegraph—Copyright. Received Saturday, 1 a.m. LAUNCESTON, Jan. 4. A domestic tragedy' occurred to day, Ethel McGilvcry, aged 29 being found murdered with her throat gashed in a house in Brisbane street, Launceston. John Killain, known as “Flash Jack," was found near the police station with his throat cut and unable to speak but lie wrote a statement, informing the police of Miss McGilvery’s plight. The police state that the woman had been living with Killain for live years and there had been disputes about another man who had just arrived from Victoria.
