FAIR TREATMENT GIVEN GERMANS IN CZECH REPUBLIC

SOFIA, Nov. 30„ The Bulgarian press frequently comments with approval on the manner in which the Government at Prague respects the aspirations, rights and national feelings of the minority groups in Czechoslovakia. ~* Sofia’s leading evening daily,’the Mir, recently declared there was not a single German schocd in Slovakia before the World War, when it formed part of Hungary, but now there are 10G German primary schools there, as well as 20 classes for German children in other primary schools, three German lower high schools, and three Gorman upper high school. In Slovakia also there are G 95 Hungarian primary schools, 32 classes for Hungarian children in other primary schools. 17 lower Hungarian high schools, seven Hungarian upper high schools, two Hungarian normal schools and classes for Hungarians in various trade and professional schools. In Bohemia, where the Czechs form G 8.5 per cont. of the total and the Germans 30.25 per cent., tha Czech schools comprise 68.25 per cent, of the tetal numbef of schools and the German-schools 30.86 per cent. In tho whole of the Republic the Czechs and the Slovaks together form G 5.5 per cent, of the population and the Germans 23.5 per cent. The num.t ber of Czech and of Slovak primary schools and classes comprise 68. G per cent, of the total and the German 23.1 per cent.
