Weddings
HALEY—WEBB. A quiet wedding was celebrated at. All Saints’ Church on Christmas Eve, when Gwendolyn Hall, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Webb, Tokomaru, was married to Fred, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Haley, of Palmerston. Tho bride, who entered tho church on her father’s arm, wore a very prettyfrock of deep cream georgette and lace. Her beautifully- embroidered veil which was lent for the occasion, was caught at either side with a cluster of orange blossom. A sheaf of Christmas lillies completed the toilette. The bride’s attendants were Miss Eva Clarke, her cousin, and Miss Dorothy Webb, a sister. The former wore green crepe-de-chine and laco frock with gold hat, shoes and stockings to match. The latter wore heliotrope erepe-de-chine and lace frock with cream hat, shoes and stockings to match. Both carried posies to tone with their frocks and also wore the bridegroom’s gifts, signet rings. Mr. Arthur Webb, brother of the bride, was best man.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home, the guests being received by Mrs. Webb, who wore a navy and fawn frock with navy coat and hat and carried a posy of rosebuds.
