PROPAGANDA CALCULATED TO BLOW AWAY PREJUDICE LLOYD GEORGE’S RETORT.

Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, in speaking at a Labour rally in the Albert Hal*, announced that the Labour Party hat 600 candidates in the field. He said: “We are not in favour o 1 minority government. We want major, ity rule, so wo are fighting every seat/ A voice from the audience: “Whs will supply the candidates 1 ” Mr, MacDonald: “We shall supply candidates, but we ask you to supply funds.
“There is only one thing in the Labour Party’s mind and that is to ask the electors to give it a majority at the-general election.
“The Labour National executive today surveyed the field and unanimous ly decided to fight every seat in IA6 country where the local branches were prepared to run candidates.” (There are 625 seats.)
He stated that if the party carried out its educational propaganda, it could blow away anti-Labour arguments and prejudices and convince the intelligent electors that a Labour Government would best, serve the country’s interests. | _ Mr. Lloyd George, addressing Liberal members of the House of Commons at Claridge’s hotel, said Mr. MacDonald said he would have nothing to do witjh minority government. He appealed to the Liberals to play a nobler part, and added: “The Liberals have thoir owe proposals and will uso the whole of their strength to carry the proposals through, whatever government is ia power.
