SELF-SUFFICIENCY movement begv
United Service. Received Tuesday, 7.0 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 5. The “Manchester Guardian" correspondent at Warsaw reports: “The newly-formed Polish League of Economic Self-Sufficiency has instituted a vigorous campaign including violence if necessary, to discourage the sale of imported goods. “An enormous number of people erected a mock guillotine in the centre of Warsaw and solemnly cut to piece* effigies of importers, also various foreign goods, including British boots and shoes, French lingeries and cosmetics, Czecho-Slovakian glassware, German kitchen utensils and American patent foods. Amid the spectators were the storekeepers of Warsaw, with prominent signs reading: “All goods made in Poland."
