MANGOLD GROWING IN PAHIATUA DISTRICT
COMPETITION IN THE SCHOOLS,
The annual mangold growing competition for schools in the Pahiatua district, held under the auspices of tho Agricultural Department of the Wellington Education Board, resulted aa follows:
Harr.ua, Kouini, and Pahiatua schools: Ivan Algie,, 804 points, 1. Ruawhata and Mangahao schools: Jessie Milne and Doris Milne. 105 J points each, 1. Mangatainoka: Stewart Taylor, 109 points, 1. Tano and Rongomai: Jim Morrison, 119 points, 1. Mangamutu: Lorraine Collier, 122 points, 1. Ballanec: L. Polglase and D. Chisnell, 198§ points each, 1. Tho trophy presented by the Pahiatua Farmers’ Union and A. and P. Association, for the most points in the district was won by Lorraine Collier, who also took second prize for the aggregate over tho whole of the Wairarapa district.
