MOUSE AS A MUMMY
When-an iron, gas supply pipe was being renewed at offices ii Birmingham, a mummified mouse was discovered in a state ,of perfect preservation, .even the whiskers being Intact. . , As tho pipe had not been disturbed for 30 years ,it is certain that the creature crept , into it when tho premises were being erected. A connection was then made to the,,meter, and the coal gas sealed the mouse’s fate and at tho same time saved tho body from the decaying effects of the atmosphere.
