MAGISTRATE CONVICTS MOTOR LORRY DRIVER

PREFERRED TO; BELIEVE INDEPENDENT WITNESSES SEQUEL OF COLLISION. Reserved judgment was delivered in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the case in which tho Police prosecuted -Harold Win. Hurdle, public works employee, of Bunnythorpc, with being drunk while in charge of a car and secondly, with negligent driving. Tho case, arose out, of: a collision between a motor lorry driven by defendant and a sedan car driven by Miss Perry, of Peilding, which occurred at the intersection of Milson’s line and tho Bunnythorpe Kairanga road on tho evening of July 28. 1 ■ . - His Worship remarked that tho case resolved itself into one of credibility and ho preferred to believe the independent witnesses.
