Ltd., report on the sales of the week as under:— _ • There was a moderate yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs at their Bulls Sale on Monday Ist instant, which sold as under; — , > , Fat ewes 84/6, 35/-, 37/-; fat hoggets 30/-, 34/-; 3-yr. steers £9; forward cows £5/12/6; light fat cows £7/5/-; fat cows £B/15/- to £9/5-; dairy heifers £7, £7/5/-, £B, £B/10/-, £9/15/-, £lO to £11; 2 pens of fat bullocks realised £7. • , • In conjunction with Messrs. Levin and Co., yearling pedigree Jersey bulls on account of Mr. S. Ingram sold at 15, 16J, 17, 19. 22, 31 guineas; weaner pigs 14/-, 14/6, 15/-; light porkers 36/6, 37/-, 37/6. There was a good entry of sheep, and cattle at their Ashhurst Sale on Wednesday, 3rd instant. There was keen competition for all class of stock and a total clearance was effected. Quotations.- .

Messrs Abraham and Williams Limited report: “Wo held our usual monthly sale of wool skins,* hidoa and tallows on Thursday, October 4th., when wo submitted a good catalogue to a full attendance of buyers. Wool, mostly inferior crutchings, sold on a par with last sale. In sym-1 pathy with other centres the sheepskins market declined Id to lid. For j hides an easier market again ruled and values generally were "$d to *d per lb. lower. Calfskins and yearlings were firm.
