Mrs. Carsons, Eangitikei Line, who has been visiting Wellington for the conference of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union, returned to Palmerston Worth during the week. Mrs. Hutchinson, of Papatawa, Woodvillb, has returned from a visit to Napier.' ; ■ . ' ■V• i • , v Mrs. B’orlase, of Napier, ( is in Palmerston North and is the guest of Mrs. Norman Mackio, Fitzherbert Avenue. Mrs. S. Wright, who has been away for a holiday, has returned to Woodvillo. Miss Warren, who has been on a visit to New Plymouth has returned to Palmerston North. Mrs. W. B. Giesen (Rotorua) has boon spending a few days with her sister, Miss E. Knowles, Church Street, Palmerston North. . U ■ > The usual monthly jumble stall was conducted yesterday in the Orient Hall by the ladies of. the Willard Home Committee. A wide selection of clothing and boots met w)th a ready public demand,.and. as a result the home should benefit considerably. Miss Freda Cameron, of Levin, is staying, with her. sister; Mrs. B. F.; Spencer, Stafford Street, Shannon. Mrs. Squire, Palmerston. North, is'at present visiting the South Island.
