CELEBRITY VAUDEVILLE

The programme to be presented in the Opera House on Monday and Tuesday next by the- Embassy Celebrity Vaudeville Company runs the whole gamut of variety. .You will be astonished, charmed, and amused in turn, and there will not bo room for one dull moment. ■ The Eleven Kascals will give you 20 minutes of crowded entertain; meat, which constitutes an entire pro' gramme in itself. Trapeze, acrobatic and tumbling work all comes naturally to this troup of delightful little girls as loveable off the stage as they are entertaining on it. In any other programme the work of the rascals would be outstanding, but you will see their equals in other forms of entertainment. There is Manelli, the famous Continental juggler, a man who has devoted his Whole life to the perfection of his art, and stands supreme among the jugglers of the world to-day. Imagine a-man spinning a huge washtub on top'of a washboard, balancing that oh top of a broom, and then setting the whole lot spinning in his .mouth. If there is any topical happening or local figure lending' itself to good humoured badinage, you can be sure it will be touched upon by Reg. Thornton, who will present a comedy act with Miss Doris O'Shea; Ho is master of topical humour and you are bound to bo interested in his song on Tom Heenoy, You will see some of the most delightful dancing that has been done on any New Zealand stage. In the company are Leighton and Woods, a young English couple, who have appeared for seasons at the most prominent cabarets and night clubs in London. The. Martins (Loo and Marie) will cater for musical tastes in a novel manner. They play anything from jazz to grand ope“ra on xylophones and bottles. Pages could bo written about the glorious tenor voice of Signor Enrico Palmetto, the Danish operatic singer; the hilarious and spontaneous comedy of Bert Harrow;. the comedy work and marvellous acrobatic dancing of The Buchanans; and the engaging male impersonations of Miss Effie Fellows, But even then praises would be left unsung. You must form your own estimates of their merits at the Opera House when you see them. And you will not bo disappointed.
