MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. • . tl , From Our Own Correspondent. Tlio usual weekly practice on the local range was well attended but apart from two or three members the Club generally shot poorly.- • Several “shoots off" for trophies were got off. Mr. McCullum won tho trophy from his opponent and L. Beard prevailed over his rivals. Tho usual weekly trophy was again undecided and must bo concluded next week. On Thursday night a goodly muster of members is making the trip to the Association Championship meeting to pit their skill against the assembled riflemen from the far flung district. As nearly all of the men will bo firing “B" Grade. Some of the prize money will' almost certainly come to Eangiotu. Tho details of the practice arc as follows:

The School, ■ r... The folowing boys have been chosen to go to Palmerston North on Saturday, morning for the trial games, Country v/ Town in view of the forthcoming Manawatu Primary Schools' , Rep. Team:—Frank Gimblctt, Robert Thomson, Monro, Whiteman and Edward Searanckc. - The- girls are delighted with the prospect of having a competitioh for the “Thomson Hockey Shield" and are practising assiduously with the view of being the first holders of the trophy.
