The Federal Government has issued writs against Jacob Johnson, general secretary of the Seamen’s Union, calling him to answer charges of having induced persons employed in the transport of goods between the States to depart from their employment, and having hindered the transport of goods between the States. The proceedings relate to the steamers Barwon and Eatoora in' the recent coots’ strike.
