Old Boys met and defeated High School on the school ground/yesterday afternoon after a well contested game, by 8 points to 5i The school team was' considerably, strengthened- on ; account of four of the teacherSiyplaying and giving the boys more ,weight,_ ' v Social Afternoon,- ’ - A very successful afternoon in All Saints’ schoolroom’yesterday,W ing given by some of the’ members pf. All Saints’ Ladies’ GuildiaAnopt' enjoyable time was spent, there - .being about 50 people. Some novel competitions wore indulged in, resulting as follows;—Nursery rhyme, Mrs E. Owen; quoit throwing, Mrs DocI; peanut race, . Mrs Sid Easton; chocolate box,: iMiss Nancy Kobinson. Mrs Doei and Mrs Eiches contributed greatly appreciated items. ' ; Methodist S.S. Evening, , - A very successful evening consisting of progressive games and competitions was held in tho Methodist S.S. room on Tuesday evening. Competitions were won by Ecv, E. Edmuudson, Messrs E. Britton, 0. Britton and W. Young. ‘A very pleasant supper brought the -ycning to a close. ■ ' v ‘ : . *■’
