Riley is fire chief and Meyer is police chief. Riley is also keeper of a general store, Meyer iceman on the side. They arc rivals for the hand of the rich and charming village ■widow, Penelope Jones. The day a -circus comes to town Molly O’Rourke drifts with it —a girl in her teens who is running away from her unkind guardians in another city. She and Stephen Meyer, son of Chief Meyer, meet at the circus. It is the season’s joy classic with the screen’s merriest team fighting fires in their business. Fighting each other is a pleasure, so they combine business with pleasure, and what a kick they get out of it. They couldn’t sit down for weeks.
