STEEPLECHASES AND WHIPPET RACES
TE MATAI TO-MORROW. A grbat deal of interest is being manifest in tho steeplechases and whippet races which are scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at Te Matai. There will be four events for the horses over distances ranging from 2 to 2.} miles and'eight races for tho dogs over various distances. From.a sporting point of view a more attractive afternoon could hardly be wished for. Bus will leave for the grounds at 1.15 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. ■ > ■■ Refreshments will be nrovided.
