In tho derailment of the Ceylon boat mail train twenty-nine miles south of Madras one passenger was killed and twenty were injured. . ' Station Wrecked. An earlier message from Calcutta was to the effect.’ Following the collapse of the strike. on’tho East Indian Railway at Calcutta and the return to work of flftccn thousand men, a strike has broken out or the South Indian Railway, The Mclur and Tuticorin stations have been wrecked. The strikers levelled tho former; to tho ground. The police fired, killing and injuring many. Passengers Stoned. An effort, was made to derail the boat mail train from Colombo, between Madras and Budaliir, and at Vikravandi aft express was hold up by strikcds, who stoned tho passengers. ; vf! •' • Tho police guard on tho latter charged with bayonets, injuring thirty. Strikers hold up other trains, destroying tho track and laying themselves on the line. Many Killed And Injured.' Several stations were looted,-..englncst and sheds wrecked, and stores, fired. Over a hundred have been killed and injured, including police. Trains are arriving at Madras with every .window broken. Telegraph wires.,have been cut and ’ whole districts isolated.
