MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The Feildjng A. and P. Association committee met on Friday night Mr. D. L. Younger occupying the chair. Advice was received from the Romney March Sheep Breeders Association that a championship medal had been allotted for the next Fcilding Show.The Southdown Breeders Association wrote intimating that a gold medal would be donated for the best Southdown ram in the show-. It <Vas pointed out that all Southdowns were clcgiblo. The Ayrshire Breeders’ Association forw-arded a letter saying that the following remit was carried unanimously at the annual meeting. That all A. and P.. Associations be asked to make it mandatory that animals entered for competition (if over 12 months of age) shall be registered, and that the words “or eligible for registration” be deleted from the schedule. Received and referred to the Schedule committee. Correspondence from the Royal Society reporting on various recommendations governing all A. and P. Shows was, on the motion of Mr. L. J. Wild, referred to the various schedule committees and the executive. A motion moved by Mr. N. E. Gifford to amend the rules in, order to provide for the addition o.f six town members to the general committee, to be elected at the annual meeting, was carried. In connection with the revision of the lists of judges, Mr. J. Knight was appointed to Assist with the Southdown list. The secretary reported that Mr, J. Shortall (who had won a cup at the last show) had donated a £5 5s cup for competition at the next show. An anonymous donor had offered a gold medal with blue ribbon for best fady rider, also trophies for girl rider under 11 years. Committees Elected.
