Length 22 metros.” *. , ; As there, is to, be an hour of preliminaries, tho Heeney—Tunhoy; bout will start at 9 p.m. on Thursday- evening— New York time. ■> Ntfw Zealand is 15} hours ahead of Mow York time and as daylight saying operates in America from May till September, the difference will thus be 16} hours. The fight will therefore he on the air from 1.30 p.m. on Friday after* noon by New Zealand standard time, Mr. Waters has loft no stone unturned to ensure that 2ZP will do everything possible to rc-broadeast this epic fight, for tho benefit of the Manawatu Radio Club and the .general public. Everything possible has been done to secure tho utmost efficiency. Last Sunday afternoon 2ZP successfully picked up 2XAD (Now York), the programme broadcast coming through with splendid volume and clearness. A similar trial will bo made to-morrow afternoon. Mr. Waters stated that 2XAD was usually intelligible about 2 p.m. each day, though sometimes an hour earlier, , according to tho weather The fight was therefore an hour early for tho best practical results, though : he was confident, that 2ZF?s reception would he as good as any in Now Zealand. All that he hoped was that short wave amateurs would not create too much “howling”. In' any case he was sanguine of good results.
