Per Press Association. DANNEVTAKB, Last Night. A meeting of the provincial executive of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Farmers ’ Union discussed a Nelson remit for e Dominion conference, “That a Dominion conference be urgently pressed to promptly formulate a Farmers’ Political Party.”, Major M‘Donnell moved a motioa supporting the proposal which, after discussion, was defeated, an amendment being carried by five votes to four instructing delegates to oppose the remit. Delegates stated that although they would carry out instructions, they would express their own views on the subject to the conference.
