Who is Krishnamurti! The name to tho majority at the present time ;is ; quite new, but according to Dr. J. J. Ho calls himself the “World Teacher." All through tho yrorld in the past half century a now spirit has been gradually awakening. People are becoming tired of worshipping forms of religion; and submitting, to sectarian differences. You can see it in science., There is a birth of a great, new art movement and all over’the world there is a desire for national and inter-racial liberation. In far East the nations want to be their own ■ masters and to me all those movements are symptomatic of this new spirit.’ Wherever in history a new life has awakened in a group there was always a representative man stirring the multitudes and in this new era movement Krishnamurti ■ is the awakener. There were many thousands both iu tho Order of the Star of .wmch he was the head and which was established in' 45 different countries, who were looking upon him as the teaenbr tho world was awaiting. It was not because others had proclaimed him,as the world .teacher not because of what ho said or' did but because he. was,V that he had been accepted. There had been greater orators, greater philpso- , phers, greater social leaders but never a man who was more free from the trammels of form. Such a teacher showed the real value of life. He did not saj “Follow mo ,take my gospel," bat sent everyone back to himself to find the true teacher: there within ” himself, ; Krishnamurti did not-give to tho people something they did not have but gave birth to the latent life within them.. The reason why he was obtaining tremendous responses in all countries to ; his teachings was because, he was representative of a now. life. The faculty of being all things to all men was the greatest of his achievements. His mission was to get people to look into their inner lives. . ; Krishnamurti, Dr. Van der , Leeuw , explained, was a Hindu and a comparalively young man being only 32 years of age. He was educated in England. The lecturer said he had being urging him to visit Australia anti Now Zealand and he would probably make , a , visit next, year or in 1930. .
