Charles Balplx Penny -was sentenced to sis months’ imprisonment at Hamilton. yesterday by Mr. Platts S.M. for failing with maintenance payments to bis wife and two children. The Maintenance Officer stated that Penny was about £IOO in arrears. Ho had appeared four times before the Court and had been sentenced to three months’ imprisonmnt on the last occasion. (P.A.) B. Boswell, a married man was admitted to -the Christchurch hospital last night with, serious injuries to the head and arms suffered through the motor truck he was driving colliding with a train on the level crossing at.
