GRAND CHARITY CONCERT
. The concert which, is being promoted by the Business Girls' Lunch Club in aid of local distress, to be held on the 24th inst., at. the Opera House, promises to be one of the most outstanding events of .a,similar nature yet held in Palmerston North. When it is rememWed that, some of the artists are in the very front rank as entertainers, and are never heard at the very low tariff that is being charged for the forthcoming concert, it will be seen that patrons will not only get their money’s worth, but at the same time will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped one of the most 1 deserving causes in the town. The following have kindly promised to assist: —Mrs J. Garde Grimshaw, Mrs J. Oswald Telford’s pupils, .Miss Naomi Whallcy, Miss Tabor’s pupils, Miss, Goughian’s pupils, Misses Tealc, Hughes, Stairs, Blockley, Clout, Howley, Muirhoad, Hancox, Southcy-Baker, Phyllis Day, Miss McKenzie Forbc’s pupils, Messrs J. Garde Grimshaw, W. Witters, H. E. Gunter, F. Morshead, the Quintette, Master Caterick, Miss Barnao. The lighter side will be catered for by Messrs Davidson, and E. Farmer Smailles.
