Time 10 seconds. NEW ZEALANDER LAY . WINS JAVELIN THROW. Received Monday, 1.27 a.m. LONDON, July 1. The New Zealander Lay with 2401* inches won the javelin throwing event at Stamford Bridge. W&ghtman-Smith threw 2140 inches. The latter won the 120 yards hurdles in 14 4-s,'equalling ti.e British record. The South African Atkinson was second and Lord Burgbley, joint holder of the record third. It was a close finish.:
