A GREAT PREACHER
The JBev. Thomas Yates, D.D., whff' is visiting Palmerston iNorth to-day, will preacn in tnc local Congregational Church this evening. For 2i years Dr. Yates was minister of Kensington Church, one of the largest and most influential in the city of London. At present he is associate minister with Dr. J. D. Jones, of Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, He is now on his ■'liy to Australia, where ho will fulfil a three months’ engagement in the Collins Street Church. It is seldom the opportunity of hearing such an orator as Dr. Yates is given to Palmerstonians. Those whe wish to hear him should get there early. The doors of the Church will be open at 7 o’clock and the service will commence at 7.30. Miss Dorothy Stairs will sing during the service.
