GRIFFITHS GETS POINTS’ DECISION OVER LECKIE

A professional fifteen rounds featherweight contest between Tommy _ Griffiths 8.13, and Hector Leckie 9.0, both of Dunedin, for a purse of £l5O, was staged to-night. The bout went the full distance, Griffiiths gaining tha decision on points. M’DONALD TECHNICALLY KNOCKS OUT BROOK. Received Saturday, 12.52 a.m. SYDNEY, June 8. At the Leichhardt Stadium M’Donald (11.2 J) technically knocked out Fred Broek (10.12) in the tenth round of a fifteen rounds contest. M'Donald'dropped Brook twice foi nine and one for six in the second, th« bell saving. Thereafter M Donald had matters in his own hands and punished his opponent severely before in the tenth round dropping him with a heavy left to th# jaw. The referee stopped the contest at this stage, declaring M’Donald the win* ner.
