Levin and Co., Ltd., report for week ending May 10th. 1928: At Bulls on Monday a small yarding came forward and sold at prices slightly below recent quotations. Small B.F. lambs, 22s Gd; medium W.F. lambs, 13s Sd, 15s, to 19s 4d; cull lambs, 10s 6d; weancr Jersey and Jersey-cross heifers, £2, to £2 7s; fat cows, £5 16s, £6 7s Cd, to £7 12s Cd.; light fat steers, £6 14s; fat and forward cows £3 11s to £4 12s Gd; store cows £1; weancr pigs, 11s. At.Fcilding on Friday we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a largo attendance of buyers and bidding was animated on all classes throughout the sale, prices realised being firm, at late rates. S.D. rams, 2Ss, 29s Cd to 30s; low condition ewes, r.w. S. D. rams, 22s to 23s Od; 2-tooth wethers, 32s 3d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on Fcilding Sale held on Friday, 18th. May: There was another heavy yarding of fat lambs and fat sheep and a small one of store sheep and cattle. Bidding was keen throughout, especially for fat lambs, and a total clearance was effected. Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd., report having held a very successful sale of dairy stock on account of Mr W. S. Carter, Shannon,. on the 17th. inst. The cows were in good condition and sold readily under keen competition. The herd of C 3 cows, including three quarter cow's, averaged £ll. We quote:—Best cows, £lO, £ll, £l2, £l3, £l4, £ls, to £l7; later ealvers, £G 10s, £7, £S 5, £9 15s; heifers, £9 10s to £lO ss; weancr heifers, £3 14s; sow's to farrow, £2 10s to £4; boar, 0 guineas; store pigs £1 10s; horses £8 10s, £l3, to £2O; sundries sold well.
