Tokomaru.
From Our Own Correspondent. The Tokomaru football team played the Wanderers at Levin on Saturday and again suffered defeat. The victors proved too weighty for the local boys. Clark and Kelly did good work for the Tokomaru team. Tiie ladies played their first hockey match against Technical school on Saturday at, Palmerston North. The ground was very slippery and prevented both teams from showing up as they might have done. The game resulted in a win for Technical School by 4 goals to J. Considering it was the local team's first game a very good defence was j nit up. With a Jit lie more practice the Tokomaru girls will prove a difficult, problem. The great weakness is Hint tlic players do not. keep their places. Although the weather lias turned much' ('older, tennis enthusiasts still frequent the local courts.
