Evening forecast: Tire anti-cyclona is now centred in the northern Tasman Sea and moving eastward. Forecast: Light to moderate variable winds with southerlies prevailing north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere winds between north-wvs) and south-west, moderate 'generally, hut strong in Fouveanx Strait; seas rough in Fouveax Strait and rather rough but decreasing off shore; in other parts moderate; moderate south to south-east winds and moderate seas in the north-cast Tasman Sea; fresh to strong south-westerlies and rather rough seas in the southeast a few scattered showers in western districts and in the far south, but mainly fair; cold night temperatures with frost inland in the South Island.
