EXPORTS OF FRUIT EXCEED ALL RECORDS

SEASON IN HAWKE’S BAY. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, Last Night; The Hawke’s Bay fruit export season closed to-day. Apples to the extend of 162,000 cases and pears totalling 32,826 case, making a grand total of 194,835 cases were exported. Of the apples about 21,000 cases went to South America. Last year the exports aggregated 64,716 cases. The amount exported this year approximately equals the quantity exported in the preceding five years.
