At last night's meeting of the Manawatu Boxing Association details in connection with the tourney on June 4th were arranged and a reassuring letter was read from Nelson McKnight over tho recent doubtful decision given against him at Auckland last Friday. Tho letter, written to Mr M, O’Brien, of Palmerston North, stated: "I am O.lv. although supposed to be K. 0.” The boxer stated that he was coming strong in the concluding stages when his rubber guard slipped, and he had his mouth open adjusting the guard with his tongue, when his opponent caught him and sent him down. "I was on my feet before ‘out,’ when to everybody’s surprise the rcfcrco awarded the fight to flay." Executive Meeting.

AYood, B. McGrath, F. Patterson, H. B. Burrell and 11. Essex; glove steward, Air E. Scott. New members elected were: AlessrS R. L. Levin, AY. R. Levin. AY. J. Shannon, E. Burrell, E. E. Short and T. Firth. This brings the total mombership to over one hundred. Show Tourney. The arrangements for tke proposed open amateur tourney for Sho' AYwere loft in the hands of the president and tho match committee to confer with tho A. and P. Association, with power to act. McKnight to Settle in P.N. Tho secretary reported that a position at his trade as a plumber bad been definitely secured for AlcKnight and that his permanent residence in Palmerston North would now bo only a question of a few days. General satisfaction was expressed at this news, and strong support promised from several quarters.
