Speaking at tile dinner accorded at Blenheim recently to a party of Nelson farmers, Mr. T. ITewetsou, one of the visitors, said lie had learned that in 1883 the wool yield on one of the Marlborough sheep stations which the party had visited was SO bales, but last year it was 20S bales, though the number of sheep on the place was the same to-day as in ISS3. This demonstrated ilie tremendous increase in production which could be achieved by carrying the right class of stock.
