SPECIAL ORDER. RE LOAN OF £5600. VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Special Order was passed at a Special Meeting of the Makema Drainage Board on the 26th day of April, 1928, viz.;— In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Makcrua Drainage Board Loan Empowering Act, 1927,” and th* "Local Bodies Loans Act, 102(1. ’* and of all other Acts and Powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling the Makere a Drainage Board hereby resolved by .way of Special Order as follows: L —That the Board proceed to raise a loan of Five Thousand Six hundred pounds (£6600) for the purpose of paying Underwriting and other expenses of a loan of £135,000 raised in 1926 and charges and expenses of proposed loan of £5600. 2. —That such Loan be called "The Makcrua Drainage Board Loan. 1927.’■’ 3. —That the currency of the said Loan shall bn for a period of Twenty years from the Ist day of February, 1928. 4. —That the interest on the said Loan shall'be at a rate of Six- pounds (£6) per centum per annum and be payable half yearly on the first day of August and February in each year. 5. That the form of Security for the payment of principal and interest on the said Loan shall be Fifty six (30) Debentures of One Hundred pounds (£100) eaeh and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of the "Local Bodies Loans Act, 1920.” 6. —That the Board doth hereby appropriate, and pledge ns security for the repayment of the said Loan and the interest, Sinking Fund and other charges thereon the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Makcrua Drainage District. On lands classified "A” a special rate of forty throe one hundred and fiftieths of a penny in the pound sterling. . On lands classified "B” a special rate of one hundred and twenty nine six hundredths of a penny in the pound sterling. On lands classified "C” a special rate of forty throe three hundredths of a penny in the pound sterling. 7. —That a Sinking Fund of Three pounds (£3) per centum per annum on the amount raised bn established. S.—That the principal and interest moneys shall be payable, at. any branch of the Bank of Now Zealand in New Zealand. o.—That the cost of raising the Loan be paid out of the Loan and the first, years interest and Sinking Fund be no: paid out of the Loan.
