At tlie Marton swimming carnival on Thursday evening Feilding swimmers were successful as follows: The school girls’ 25 yards was won by P, Sporlc and the girls’ 50 yards under 16 by B. Harford. E. M‘ln tosh was first in the men’s 100 yards handicau. L. Pike second in the men’s 50 yards handicap ,and M‘ln tosh first and W.| J. Cochrane second in the ribbon dive. In the dual relay Betty Harford and Norman Dowsett (New Zealand champion) won from scratch. A flower and produce show is to bo held in the Kimbolton Town Hall on Saturday next, .in aid of the Presbyterian Church funds; Welcome rain fell throughout the Feilding district yesterday morning, giving relief to parched pastures and garcens alike. There will bo a euchre party and dance at the Forresters’ Hall this evening. •Eev. Arthur Mitchell, of Feilding, has just been appointed superintendent minister of Auckland West. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell expect to leave Feilding during the first week in April, and he will be inducted into his new charge the following week.
