ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC. (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) The annual school picnic was held in the school ground last Thursday. The day was very fine and in consequence there was a large attendance. A comprehensive programme had been drawn up and was carried out after the children had had lunch.. Garden Party. A garden party was held at Misa Leslie's in aid of the Anglican Church funds. During the afternoon various competitions and treasure hunt wore held and croquet was played. There w r as a largo attendance and the funds benefited to the extent of about £7, Tennit, The Haythorne Cup which has been competed for by various teams in the district was definitely won by Rangiwahia when that team played Apiti on the Apiti courts last Saturday.
