Last year receipts of gold at : the Eoyal Mint, Melbourne, totalled 247, 744 fine ounces. Now Zealand was the largest contributor with 100,429 line ounces, as against 48,449 line ounces received from tho Dominion in 1926. During 1927, 5235 estates wore ceri tided for stamp duty in the Dominion, tho aggregate not value being £17,482, 965 an average of about £3339. There were 134 of £20,000 or over,- account ing for £7,947,098 of the total, while 2095 estates were under £SOO.
