WEEK-END EXCURSIONS

The attention of our readers is directed to the Railway Department’s advertisement regarding a week-end excursion from Napier to Wellington on Saturday, 25 th instant, returning Sunday night. The return fares are again at half ordinary rates, and accommodation may be secured upon application at railway stations when purchasing rail tickets. Seats may also be reserved for the combined up and down journey by excursion train for Is. The opportunity thus presented of visiting the Empire City by comfortable fast train with fares at half price should not be overlooked particularly by those whose work prevents them from making the journey at other than on a week-end. An announcement is also made regarding the running of a Sunday excursion train from Palmerston North to Paekakariki on Sunday, 26th February. The trains are at very convenient times and the fares are at a low rate.
