Great Radio feature. Groat interest has been aroused in tic Maori Radio Pageant which is to bo broadcast from 2YA studio (and robroadcast by other stations, including Australian). It is espc-ctcd that there will not be an idle radio receiving set this evening, and that, probably hundreds of thousands of people will listen to what will bo a uicriorablo entertainment. Maori songs, music and dancing are always popular, but on this occasion the radio will endeavour to supply something more in the presentation of a pageant depicting flic history and life of the Maori people. The pageant will be presented in six phases, commencing with the arrival of the Maoris in New Zealand. There will be a native speaker to describe all that is taking place, and the evening’s performance will be graced with the presence of the Hon. J. G. Coates and Sir Mauri Poma-re, both of whom will speak, the latter in connection with the arrival of the first missionaries and the Treaty of Waitangi (signed on February stb 1840) and the former by way of a tribute to the Maoris for the part they played in the Groat War. The performance will bo repeated to-morrow evening, commencing at 11 p.m. (corresponding with 8.30 p.m. Australian time).
