P.N.8.H.5.—1927 RUGBY RECORD. “Tho school won every grade in which it entered a team this year,” said Mr. A. M. Ongloy, president of the Manawatu Rugby Union in presenting the football trophies at the annual prize-giving of the Palmerston North High Schools last evening. This should constitute a record for New Zealand. Not only did the first 15 win the junior competition of this district but that of the combined unions as well. In all their games also, the school teams were fighting against odds in ago, weight and strength. To find that pace, science and keenness can triumph against these in a confirmation of the belief that Rugby is one of the finest games in tho world.
“The school is also extremely fortunate in its conch,” continued Mr. Ongley. In Mr. J. A. Colquhoun, wo have one of the finest football coacho-s in New Zealand. As long as the school retains his services and those of his loyal lieutenants training tho lower grades, so long will the school retain its reputation a football.” ’
