ATHLETICS
XUA TOA A.A. AND O. CLUB. At a committee meeting of the above club, held on Wednesday evening, it was decided to open the season with an evening meeting on the Sportsground next Monday* (November 14th), at 6 p.m^
The programme was arranged as follows: —Juniors: 75 pards handicap, open 100 yards, half mile, hop, Mop and jump, putting tile shot handicaps, Cycling: Open half mile handicap.
Entries close with the secretary or at Goldfinch and Cousins’ shop at S p.m. to-morrow (entry 1/-). A cordial invitation is extended to members of other clubs, and intending members of any club to compete. The names of several new members were submitted and passed. After the routine business of the meeting had boon disposed of, the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr Campbell Aitchison who has generously placed his room at the disposal of live club for committee meetings.
