STOLEN OIL
A perturbed writer in an Knglish exchange expresses alarm at the amount of oil which is being extracted. from the bowels of tire earth. He asks how long it will be before the world collapses as a result of tills prolonged extraction of the earth’s lubricant.

This was the peroration: ‘An’ den a lot of sinners dig wells in Pennsylvania und steal de world's oil and grease. An’ dey dig wells in Louisiana, Ok.ahoma an’ Texas, Mexico, Hussia, aid idea! more of do oil and grease. ‘‘An’ some day dey will aai all of de world’s oil and grease, "nd dc.m axles is gonna get hot. Hen df.t will be hell, bredron; dat will be hell!"
