NEWSPAPER STRIKE IN WEST AUSTRALIA
SIGNS OF SPREADING. [By Electric Cable-Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 5.5 p.m.) PERTH, s Sopt. 15. The strike at the “West Australian" newspaper office continues, and shows signs of spreading. Copies of the composite paper Issued by the "Daily News” and “West Australian," are being circulated throughout the city and suburbs. At a mass meeting of the Typographical Union it was agreed that the strike was no longer the concern of the West Australian’s “chapel," but would henceforth be the concern of the Union, which would support the “chapel” in Its decision not to work while any of Its membex-s were in gaol. Tho Industrial Registrar has been Instructed by the Arbitration Court to take proceedings to determine whether the men are again on strike. Should the charge be proved, they the liable to another fine or Imprisonment.
