MAN AND GIRL SHOT NEAR SYDNEY
ASSAILANT THEN COMMITS SUICIDE. JEALOUSY ALLEGED MOTIVE. [By Electric Cable-Copyright.] [Aust, and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 26. , George Walker, aged 27, and Thelma Kammill, aged 18, were shot in the head outside the latter’s home at Ashfleld after their return from the pictures. f The fatal shots were fired by Willian Gordon. Fuller, aged 24, of Croydon, who afterwards fatally wounded himself. Walker was a cook, and he had a tlicket for the steamer . Moerakl in his pocket. In Puller’s possession was a Now Zealand passport, also a photograph of himself In a marine officer’s uniform. The girl’s parents state that she and Fuller recently quarrelled. Jealousy is believed to have been the motive of the crime. The police have established the fact that a fortnight a«ro Miss Hammill quarrelled with Fuller, and since then Fuller had not been admitted to her house. A letter written by Fuller found in his pocket states he:loved Miss Hammill and intended to commit suicide and take her with him. -He added he would also like to kill the man she was with. Apparently Puller waited inside the gate until Walker and Miss Hammill entered .then shot them, afterwards shooting himself.
